Today was my last climbing session in Bjoeks, the fabulous climbing hall just five minutes bikeride from our home. Had to say goodbye to my climbing mate since 2005. Hoping to see him later when coming for trips to Groningen, or when he and Jo are coming for a visit!!
With more than eleven years together in Groningen, both going on forty and the dog going on ten we decided to move together to the 'other' hometown, Kristiansand. This blog is here to keep ourselves a tad bit organised and you hopefully amused. We wish for a good journey, lots of luck and lots of macrel!

What we definitely will bring
When travelling to Groningen in 1999, there was no place in the suitcase for my Patos boxes, handmade in Kristiansand. Bought these in 1995, and got particularly spoiled ears. Bought an Aiwa for student room in Groningen, but went straight back to the shop after testdrive of Schumann to complain: there must have been a fabrication mistake according to my spoiled ears, the sound was apalling. Slowly got used to the boxes, and ended up not putting on CD's anymore. After 7 years of ear-drought the Patos came home to NL. Putting on a piano sonate (Mozart) played on a Steinway made my eyes water. My ears had come home.
A bit battered after years of travelling and storage, but they are still great, and will join us in our travel north.
